Scott graduated from Fairview High School, class of 1973.  He went to the University of Pittsburgh where he pursued a degree in Biology/Forestry.  After the passing of his father when Scott was 22, he moved to Florida with his mother.  Scott started his career in the billboard industry where he began in construction and worked his way to Vice President.  He also owned and operated two other billboard companies.  Scott ran for City Council in Ocala, was a member of the Rotary Club, and sat on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers, Big Sisters.  When he and his family moved to Virginia, he managed the Bedford County Parks and Recreation, Cannery, and Animal Shelter.  After 15 years, Scott returned home to Erie where he wore many hats.  Most recently he enjoyed working in the Lowe’s Garden Center and truly loved his Lowe’s family.  Scott made hundreds of children smile as the mall Santa Claus for 3 years which filled his heart with so much joy.  Scott loved watching college football, specifically the Florida Gators.  He relished in the thrills of Halloween and the 4th of July, as lighting fireworks was one of his favorite things.  Scott was also an avid outdoorsman, nature enthusiast, and lover of animals.
