Evelyn Lenora Southworth
Evelyn Lenora Southworth, 83, went to sleep at her residence in Spartansburg, PA on Saturday, February 4, 2023.
Evelyn was born on the family farm on May 13, 1939 in Townville, PA. Evelyn was born to the late George and Bessie (Steadman) Southworth.
Evelyn worked at Erie Plastics until her retirement. When Evelyn retired, she taught herself to make quilts, which she made for friends and family. If Evelyn cared about you, she was known to make you a quilt or baked goods. Throughout her lifetime, Evelyn enjoyed riding her scooter, taking care of her horse, Palomia, and spreading the word of Jehovah. Evelyn devoted her life to her family and friends. She also enjoyed playing card games, completing puzzles, and growing her plants.
Evelyn is survived by two brothers, Rexford Southworth of Corry, PA, and Gary (Sherry) Southworth of Pine Grove, PA; one daughter, Diana Koziara; two granddaughters, Tori (Brett) and Callista, and two great grandchildren, Zaydin and Amaya. She is also survived by a niece, Hope (Eric) Glover; her very special friends, Greg (Beth) Sherlock, and her life-long friend, Patsy Nichols. She also favored her friend, Charlene Dunnewold. In addition, she is survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Southworth; a sister, Juanita Rhodes, and a sister, Patricia (Honey) Olsen. She was also preceded in death by her lifelong dog, Penny.
A Memorial Service will be held by her family at a later date.
