Craig Wilton Dyne I

Craig Wilton Dyne I, age 63, of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, May 13, 2023, after a brief illness.

He was born in Erie on May 25, 1959, son of late Barbara Hoffman and Fred Dyne.

Craig attended Strong Vincent High School. He was employed at the Borough of Wesleyville. He cherished his time at the borough and the friendships made. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved his time with family, friends, and co-workers. He was a volunteer for hurricane Ida relief efforts in 2009. Craig touched the lives of everyone he met and held a significant place in their hearts. From the time of his diagnosis, he handled his battle with grace and still made the time to make sure his loved ones would be ok.

Craig is survived by his only son, Craig Dyne II and wife Erin, and his three daughters, Crysti Hatkevich and husband Nicholas, Angela Lopez, and Megan Addis and husband Zachary. He is survived by his grandsons, Markie, Craig III, Connor, Georgiy, and Stormie, along with his four granddaughters Gabi, Kenzie, Maddie, Angelina. He is also survived by his two sisters, Katherine Hammerman and Jeff, and Krystal Waddell, along with four brothers Richard Dyne, David Varner and Sue, Mark Dyne, and Scott Schultz and wife Jennifer as well as many nieces, nephews, their children, and close friends.

In addition to his parents, Craig was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Dyne.

Friends and family are warmly invited to call at the Askins Cremation Funeral Services, 8354 Wattsburg Rd, Erie, Pa, 16509, on Monday, May 22, 2023, from 3:00 PM until the time of the Service at 5:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
