LaVaughn Jean Weiser
LaVaughn J. Weiser, age 68, of Polk, PA, passed away on March 4, 2020 at UPMC Hamot in Erie.
Born in Clarion County on September 9, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Albert W. Weiser, Jr. and Ozelma (Busch) Weiser.
LaVaughn spent most of her life at Polk Center, surrounded by a loving and protective staff at Polk Center. She was a favorite resident of those who cared for her and was lovingly known as “Weezie”. For years her favorite drink was Mountain Dew and she often had a container of it wherever she went. She enjoyed the trips and the other social activities provided by the center. She participated in most of them until the past few years when her health declined.
She is survived by her siblings, Selma Garoute of CA, James Weiser and Robert Strain, both of NV, and Alberta Maher of PA. Along with her siblings, she is survived by her uncle, Elmer Busch, her niece, Laura, and many cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert Weiser Sr., Iva M. (Zerby) Weiser, John
Busch, and Fannie Busch; her brother, Albert W. Weiser; her step-mother, Shirley Dehner Weiser, and uncles, Vaughn Busch, Leonard, Paul, and Raymond Weiser and their spouses.
There will be no viewing or visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
