Florence Diane “Dee” (DeWeese) Holden
It is with great sorrow that the Holden family shares the loss of their beloved one, Florence Diane “Dee” DeWeese Holden, 70, of Erie, PA. She passed away on March 27th, 2024, at UPMC Medical Center surrounded by family and friends.
Diane was the daughter of Marguerite and Dale DeWeese. She was born and raised in Erie, PA on February 17, 1954.
She enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren, playing bingo and shopping. She enjoyed cooking for holidays and special occasions with family. She worked for AVI Systems until her retirement. Diane was very close with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Donald J. Holden; her son, Brandon “BJ” Holden; her grandchildren, Dayanaliz “Nali” Holden, Annalize “Anna BANANAS” Romero, and Brandon “Little Man” Holden Jr; her sisters, Sandra Kirchgatter (Tom), Lois Matalino, Cheryl Elder (Carl); her nieces, Heather Smith (TJ) and Lisa Robie, and several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her baby sister, Jamie DeWeese; her nieces, Sharon Kirchgatter and Barbara Acuna, and her nephew, David Kirchgatter.
Services will be private and a Celebration of Life will be at the family’s convenience.
