Dorton James Holland
Erie, PA – Dorton James “DJ” Holland, 55, formerly of Salamanca, NY, died unexpectedly on July 2, 2023.
He was born November 21, 1967, in Salamanca, to the late Arthur Holland and Bonnie (Elena) Portz. He was also preceded in death by a brother, David Holland, and a sister, Patricia Bartlett.
He is survived by his sons, Stephen Holland and Devin Redeye; four grandsons, Jermyah, Javyn, Jaspyr and Jaycob; the love of his life, Stephanie Ray Holland; brothers, Arthur (April) Holland and Wally France; sisters, Evelyn (Michael) Kovacs, Leona (Craig) Thomas, Helen (Modesto) Zurita, and many nieces and nephews.
We would also like to thank Rosie Grover for all the love and support she has provided to DJ over the years.
DJ was a child of God, and we are so grateful that he is now at peace. He loved to fish, fly his drones, and create havoc with his potato gun. He was also talented in construction and drawing.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 14, 2023, at Presque Isle State Park (Pavilion near Coast Guard Station) starting at 6:00 p.m. All are welcome.
