Carolyn Patricia Maines
It is with such great sadness that we share the loss of Carolyn Patricia Maines. God called Carolyn home in a special place she called “home”, Erie Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. She lived in Winchester, Kentucky with her husband, Eddie. A man who Carolyn described as treating her like a “Angel”. Carolyn was born on September 20, 1967, in Erie, PA and was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia and Alexander Krawczyk.
Carolyn is survived by what she would’ve called “her world”. Her beautiful daughter and best friend, Kayla (Conley) and family. Husband, Jake and 3 granddaughters, Ella, Rylee and Alexie. Three boys that were loved as only moms love and each held their own special spot in her heart. Christopher Gillespie, Jessica Steele, and granddaughter, Carly Gillespie. Bryan Gillespie and wife, Mallory. Grandsons, Luca and Chase. Granddaughter Lainey and Granddaughter, that holds a big piece of her heart, Gracie Gillespie. Justin Gillespie, better known as J-Bird. Her brother, who’s defines “brotherly love”, Mark Krawczyk.
Carolyn is also survived by her husband’s family. Son, Hunter Maines, Daughter, Ashley and husband, Will Christopher, grandchildren, Callen and Grady. Daughter, Samantha and Jesse Westburgh. And special mother-in-law, Mary Brinegar.
Carolyn could be described as loving, forgiving, selfless, fun, and authentic. A heart that was open to anyone that needed momma and Granny love. Carolyn had shared with many in the days before being called home that life for her was in a beautiful, blessed, and peaceful season. Because of her love for the Lord, we all know where she will be waiting and rejoicing.
Hearts are broken and shattered, and she will be deeply missed but we praise the beautiful life we had with Carolyn Maines, sister, mother, granny, wife, friend, and coworker.
Carolyn’s celebration will be held at 3:00PM, Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Christ Church of Winchester, 1879-1947 Ironworks Rd, Winchester, KY 40391. Family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:30PM.
