Christina (Chrissy) Marie Donovan
Christina Marie Donovan, age 31, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at her home.
She was born in Erie on February 12, 1992 to Richard J. Donovan and the late Michelle (MacDonald) Donovan.
Chrissy had a passion for helping anyone, anywhere, at any time. She was truly an angel who loved children, the elderly, animals, and those who struggled with mental health and homelessness.
Chrissy worked for several years for the carnival with Powers Great American Midway, as well as at Family Dollar. Chrissy also volunteered where she was able. She had dreams of becoming a home health aide to care for people who were unable to care for themselves.
Chrissy loved art, music, dinosaurs, birds, as well as every dog or cat she came into contact with. She also loved time with her family and friends, and regularly checked in on people to make sure they were ok.
She will be dearly missed by her family and the countless friends that she made through the years. She was a loving, kind, and caring person.
Chrissy is survived by her wife, Caitlyn Strohmeyer; her sister, Victoria Rosario and her children Hannah, Tyler, and Alexander; her father, Richard Donovan; her stepchildren, Gregory Shook, Katrina Strohmeyer, Brianna Yaras and her husband Devin Yaras; her grandchildren, Aiden Topp, and Kamden Presley Carson; and her beloved puppy dog, Trixie.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Myrtle MacDonald and grandfather, Dick Donovan.
In accordance with Chrissy's wishes, there will be no viewing. A celebration of Life is being planned for a future date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Anna Shelter, Orphan Angel's Cat Sanctuary, the Erie City Mission, and/or Community Shelter Services.
