John Dietrich
John Dietrich, age 80, of Corry, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024 at UPMC Hamot Hospital. He was born March 17, 1943 in Erie, PA to Augustus and Lucille (Mattson) Dietrich.
John was very mechanically inclined and worked at Althof Sales & Service in Erie, PA for over 40 years. He loved and never missed any family gathering. He also enjoyed joining his lifelong friend, Arthur Entley, at local auctions.
He loved his family and is survived by his wife, Cathy (Davis) Dietrich; a stepson, John Davis of Corry, PA; 5 grandchildren, JJ Alexander of Titusville, PA, Cassandra Alexander of Corry, PA, Crystal Davis of Guys Mills, PA, Dakota Colecchia of Corry, PA, and Donovan Colecchia of Burgettstown, PA, and 4 great grandchildren, Kaleb Hart, Noelle and Malakai Colecchia and Oakleigh Davis. He is also survived by a brother, Arden Dietrich of Magnolia, OH; a sister, Patricia (Chuck) Munn of Canton, OH; his favorite niece, Mary Ann (Michael) Budzinski of Linesville, Pa, and many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, George, Neal and Larry Dietrich, and 2 sisters, Shirley Alicea and Joyce White.
John will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. His suffering of over 2 years after a massive hemorrhagic stroke, is over.
