Joseph Nicholas Sciarrilli
Joseph N. Sciarrilli, age 98, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022.
Born in Erie on May 15, 1923, he was the son of the late Manfredo and Grazia (Zonna) Sciarrilli.
Joseph was employed as an assembler at Republic Water Heater, then at Geosource, a division of A.O. Smith. In his later years, he worked at Eastland Bowling Lanes, Igloo Ice Arena, and the Zem Zem Shrine Club. He was a member of the Erie Maennerchor Club, the Nuova Aurora Club, and the Siebenbuerger Club. Joseph was an avid golfer and bowler, and enjoyed life to the fullest.
He is survived by his son, Ronald J. Sciarrilli and his wife, Patricia; his granddaughter and light of his life, Gianna Sciarrilli; his sister-in-law, Isabella Abbato, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Margaret (Abbato) Sciarrilli; his brothers, Frank Sciarrilli and Richard Sciarrilli, and his sisters, Rose Ferreira, Gilda Sciarrilli, Gena Bassin, and Gloria Mercurio.
There will be no viewing or visitation. Services will be private.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
