Donald Paul Sholtis, Sr.
Donald Paul Sholtis, Sr., age 88, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
Born in Ashtabula, OH on December 24, 1933, he was the son of the late Paul J. and Judith (Olson) Sholtis.
He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State fan. Donald served in the US Navy during the Korean War, and was on the Erie Korean War Memorial Committee. He was the best husband and father.
Donald is survived by his wife, Joyce (Nass) Sholtis; his sons, Norman Sholtis, Don “Paul” Sholtis, Jr., Craig (LeAnn) Sholtis, and Kevin (Dilara) Sholtis, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mark Sholtis and his brother, Robert J. Sholtis.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
