Matthew Wayne Gibson
Matthew W. Gibson, age 62, of Erie, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021.
Born in Erie on December 2, 1958, he was the son of the late Wayne and Ralphene (Shoop) Gibson.
Matthew loved hunting, cooking and grilling, and taking care of his house and lawn. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Above all else, he loved his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Denise M. (Yusz) Gibson; his brother, Timothy Gibson and his best friend Emily; his sisters, Juanita Gangemi and her best friend Dean, and Suzanne Stritzinger and her best friend Jeff; his brothers in law, Danny Yusz and wife Pam, and David Yusz; his sister in law, Diana Stansell and husband Stanley, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Matthew was preceded in death by his brother in law, Donald Yusz.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 1024 Peach Street, Erie, PA 16501.
