Dennis John Mansfield
Dennis John Mansfield, age 70, of Millcreek Township, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA.
Born September 22, 1950, he was a son of the late Richard Edward and Alyce Mae (Deuel) Mansfield.
Dennis was a two-term veteran, serving in both the Army and Navy. He was an avid fisherman and loved hunting and being outdoors. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and was a talented musician, playing guitar and harmonica.
Dennis was a devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews, and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his sisters, Meg George, Rita Fassett and her husband Sheridan, and Cassandra Dovishaw and her husband Patrick, all of Erie; his brothers, Michael Mansfield of Stanley, VA, and Douglass “Duke” Mansfield and his wife Natalie of Erie; 22 nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his sisters, Patricia Walker and Colleen “Shelley” Mansfield, and his brothers, Thomas Roth and Jayme Mansfield.
There will be no viewing or visitation. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life for Dennis on Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 3136 W. 13th Street, Erie, PA.
