John Phillip Henry
John Phillip Henry, age 72, of Greene Township, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
Born in Erie, PA on March 10, 1951, he was the son of the late Edwin L. and Alice M. (Allburn) Henry.
John served in the U.S. Navy from 1971 to 1973, serving aboard the USS Newport. He enjoyed going to the casino, and loved to spend time with his family and friends. Through the years, he was a member of many social clubs such as the Pulaski Club, St. Boniface Usher’s Club, and American Legion. No matter where he went, he found a friend.
He is survived by Susan (Holzer) Henry; his daughter, Sarah Henry-Walker (David); his daughter in law, Valerie Henry; his brother, Lee Henry (Diane); his sisters, Patricia Straw and Karen Ewiak; 3 grandchildren, Justin Walker, Jacob Henry, and Allison Walker, and 6 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, Jason Henry, and 2 nephews, Frank Ewiak and Dennis Straw.
Following John’s wishes, there will be no viewing. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
