Alfred “Al” Thompson, age 75, of Harborcreek Township, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022.

Born in Tip Top, Kentucky on July 6, 1946, he was the son of the late Raymond and Ellnor (Oaks) Thompson.

Al loved mowing his grass and mowing for many in his neighborhood.  He was a Good Samaritan, always there to help anyone in need.  Al loved talking with people any time, and anywhere.  He was known as ‘Dad’ or ‘Grandpa’ by everyone, and loved his favorite dog, Jax.

He is survived by his loving wife, Agnes M. (Wiler) Thompson; his sons, John Thompson and Stevie Thompson (Boomer); his daughter, Trish Grove (Chris); his brothers, Hawk Thompson (Velva) and Morris Thompson (Debbie); his sisters, Ethel Smith, Ora Lee Thompson, Brenda Kay Thompson, and Patty Thompson; 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Dean Thompson and his daughter, Tina, at birth.

There will be no viewing or visitation.  Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
