Robert E. Alford
Robert E. Alford, age 86, passed away on February 22, 2022 at UPMC Hamot.
Born April 10, 1935 in Union City, PA, he was the son of the late Neil and Anna Marie (Nelson) Alford.
He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. A soft-spoken man whose greatest love was spending time with his family. He had a career with Agway Petroleum Co. in Corry, Pa, retiring after 32 years as Manager in 2001. Following retiring from Agway, he worked for Ferrell Gas in North East, Pa, retiring after 10 years in 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Marie Carlson Alford; one son, Scott Alford and his wife Denise; two grandsons, Bob Alford and Victor Alford; his great granddaughter, Savannah Louann Alford; his sister, Martha Williamson of Union City, PA; his brother George Alford of Post Falls, ID, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne Marie Alford.
A Celebration of his Life will take place at the Union City Moose Lodge on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM for Family and Friends.
