Herman Eugene "Worm" Shaw
Herman E. "Worm" Shaw, age 61, of Oil City, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA.
Born in Johnstown, PA on May 14, 1959, he was a son of the late Harry B. Shaw, Sr., and Betty Jane (Schrengost) Shaw.
Before he was disabled, Herman worked in construction for many years, operating a jack hammer. He loved hunting, fishing, and mudding through the woods. He enjoyed playing cards and Bingo. Herman loved to ride and work on Harley Davidson motorcycles and cooking, especially wild game.
He is survived by his fiancee, Kathy L. May; his sisters, Barbara King and Virginia Doland; his brothers, Harry Shaw and Daniel Shaw; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Herman was preceded in death by sisters, Brenda Shearer, Linda Baker, and Debra Galloway.
There will be no viewing or visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Askins Cremation Funeral Services, 8354 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, PA 16509 is assisting with arrangements. The family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help defray final expenses.
