Richard “Dick” Vincent Berlin
Richard “Dick” Vincent Berlin, 82, of Millcreek township, Erie, PA, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at UPMC Hamot Hospital.
Richard was born on July 24, 1939, in Erie, PA to Robert Vincent Berlin and Esma Henrietta (Call) Berlin. His parents, and brothers, Robert Eugene and Kenneth Roy, preceded him in death.
Richard graduated from Harborcreek High School in 1959 and served in the US Navy from 1962 to 1966. He worked at GE for 30 years, and in retirement enjoyed driving a school bus for Fort LeBoeuf school district. Richard was a member of Wesleyville Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, trustee, Sunday school teacher and choir member.
Richard is survived by his wife, Esther Ann (Minor) Berlin, married on August 11, 1962, and his family, Steven Berlin of Millcreek; Julie Smith (née Berlin) and her sons Hunter and Cameron of Millcreek; David and Cindy (née Bayer) Berlin and their sons Jason and Benjamin and daughter Brooke of Beaufort, SC; Crystal (née Berlin) and Trevor Cragle and son Nathan Horanic of Waterford and daughters Ashton Berlin of Millcreek and Kayla Horanic and daughter Emery of North East; as well as numerous other family and friends who he loved dearly.
Visitation will be at Wesleyville Baptist Church, 3509 Buffalo Road, Erie, PA 16510 on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 12:00 Noon, followed by a celebration of Richard’s life at 1:00 PM.
