Nila M. Schneider
Nila M. Schneider, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at Corry Manor.
Born in Kane, PA on December 29, 1934, she was the daughter of Ernest Maze and Florence (Legters) Maze.
She attended Kane schools and lived in the Kane area most of her life. She was the widow of the Rev. William Schneider, who preceded her in death in 2019. Nila and Bill were founding members of Praise Fellowship church in Russell, PA, where they resided during their retirement years.
Faith and family were at the center of Nila’s life. During the early 1960’s, she attended Bible School in Conneaut Lake, PA under the direction of Bob Mumford and over the years she spoke and sang at many Christian services. Her faith was most important to her. She and Bill traveled the world the United States together during their retirement. She was a gifted artist and painter and an excellent cook.
Nila had two sons, Rex L. White (Priscilla) of Corry, PA and Thomas R. White (Della) of Ocala, FL. She also had five grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Nila was preceded in death by her sisters, Alice Launer and Nancy Maze, and her brothers, Harold, John, and Philip Maze.
No services are planned at this time. Memorial donations may be made to Praise Fellowship in Russell, PA.
