Richard Wilbur Blore
Richard Wilbur Blore, age 83, of Amity Township, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
Born in Union City on April 30, 1943, he was the son of the late Leo and Marjorie (Traphagan) Blore.
Richard was a graduate of Wattsburg High School, Class of 1961, earned his Bachelors Degree at University of Pittsburgh, and attended Penn State and Erie County Vo-Tech. He worked as a machine operator for Bucyrus Erie, was an apprentice at Kerner Tool and Die, a tool and Die maker for Tool-All and Diversified Tool, and taught at Corry Tech and Erie Vo-tech for over 28 years.
Richard was of the Roman Catholic faith. He was a past 4-H Leader, and a member of the Iroquois Archery Club. He loved farming and gardening, camping and hunting, and most of all spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Catherine (Rosier) Blore; his sons, Eric Blore of Albion, PA, Christopher Blore (Heather) of Covington, OH, and Daniel Blore (Carla) of Painesville, OH; his sisters, Mary Coatoam; his brothers in law, Jim Rosier (Karen) of Crossingville, PA, Don Rosier (Joan) of Monroe, OH; his sister in law, Jan Sega (Rich) of Summerville, SC; his grandchildren, Zachary Blore, Tyler Phelps, Gavin, Noah, Colin, McKenna, Grant, Vaughn, and Lia Blore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Blore; his sisters, Lois O’Conner, Virginia Kuhn, Martha Carniewski, and his brother, Bernard Blore.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and at the convenience of the family.
