Gregory D. Kelly, age 63, beloved nephew of Janet Schaffner and the late Nelson Schaffner and son of the late Emil R. Kelly and Marjorie V. Dodsworth, was born in Erie on march 24, 1954 and went home with the Lord on March 2, 2018.
Greg worked as a machinist at Butech for many years and he also helped many as a volunteer firefighter at Westlake Fire Department. Greg was wild about the outdoors, especially when spending time at camp with his good buddies. In addition, he enjoyed several hobbies, loved listening to many kinds of music, and had a keen sense of humor which his family and friends enjoyed very much.
He is also survived by his daughter, Erin Kelly (Kosinski) and family; dear cousins Kim Wilkosz (little sister); John and Marcia Schaffner and family; Nelson Schaffner and Jackie Nathani and family; Liz and Aaron Pifer and family; Mark and Michelle Wilkosz and family; Jason and Kimberly Sulecki and family; his "Carebear", Kerri Wilkosz; and family friend Wanda Prozan. Also surviving are several dear friends with whom he shared many good times with. Greg was loved by all of his family and friends and will be missed.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Askins Cremation Funeral Services, 8354 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, PA 16509 is assisting the family with arrangements.
