Cynthia Faye Oliver-Blanks 57, passed away on July 10, 2016 in Erie, PA.  She was born on January 27, 1959 in New Kensington, PA to District Elder John C. Oliver, Sr. and Mary (Magee) Oliver.

Cynthia graduated from Burrell Senior High School in 1976.  She also briefly attended Wilma Boyd Career School where she studied to become a court reporter. 

Cynthia had two great loves in her life: God and her family.   In her quiet time, she could often be found reading the Bible.  Her interests also included dance, music, fashion, fitness and spoke French and Spanish. Her talent as a dancer was well documented.  During one talent show hosted by Burrell Sr. High School she placed as first runner up, skillfully displaying her gift for choreography and acrobatic- freelance dance.  In addition to these interests, she briefly pursued a modeling career.

Cynthia was known for being soft-spoken, sweet and gentle.  She tried to befriend those she considered to be the underdog; taking time to encourage and cheer them up.

Cynthia is survived by four children (Kelly Blanks-Frazier, Elaine Davis, Bridget Blanks and Steve Blanks), ten grandchildren (Howard, Jasmine, Samyiah, Tiana, Trahnquel, Iman, Machali, Marvin, Marcus, Marshall and Malik), four sisters (Carolyn Bradshaw, Gwendolyn Talkish, Beverly Oliver, Monica Oliver), three brothers (John C. Oliver, Jr., Todd Oliver, Andre Oliver), her father: John C. Oliver, Sr.  Son-in law Jamie Frazier and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

 She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Magee Oliver in January of 2016. 

She will be sorely missed.
