Charlene Marie (Dundon) Huyck
The daughters of Charlene Marie (Dundon) Huyck are saddened to announce her passing to eternal life with our Lord and Savior, after a valiant battle with cancer, on December 9, 2025. She was born January 12, 1939 to Charles and Mary (Burst) Dundon. Born and raised in Erie, she met the love of her life, Frank H. Huyck, whom she married on December 1, 1956. They shared a 64-year marriage until his passing in 2021.
Charlene was a devoted member of the Draketown Christian Church and their Woman’s Aid. She devoted many hours, crocheting lap blankets for nursing homes. She enjoyed singing and listening to Christian music, crafts, baking, and playing cards, but most of all spending quality time with family and friends.
She is survived by her 5 daughters, Cynde Palomino of Rock Hill, SC, Brenda Fernandes (Dave) of Wesleyville, PA, Janice Kunik (Ron) of Erie, PA, Tracy Huyck-Shafer (Dave) of Hartsville, SC, and Jennifer Conn (Brian) of West Seneca, NY; 22 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary; her husband, Frank; her son, Frank; her grandsons, Shawn and Todd; her sisters, Margaret, Donna, and Patricia, and her brother, Lynn.
The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff at LECOM Nursing Facility and Hospice VNA.
Services will be held at Draketown Christian Church 12460 Draketown Rd, Edinboro PA 16412. Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11:00am. With a celebration of life being held at a later date.
