Joanne (Szewczyk) Torres
Joanne (Szewczyk) Torres, age 74, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2019.
Born in Erie on January 1, 1945, she was a daughter of the late George and Catherine Szewczyk.
Joanne was a caregiver most of her life, and was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church. She was a hard worker, and enjoyed bowling, dancing, and playing cards.
She is survived by her sons, James G. Torres and David J. Torres, both of Erie; her sisters, Rita Slatzer and Martha Connelly, both of Erie; 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Urbano Torres; Alex Morris, whom she considered her second husband; 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
There will be no viewing.
