Robert Miles Heater
Robert Miles Heater, of Pittsfield, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at UPMC Hamot due to injuries from a work related accident.
He was born in Erie, PA on November 7, 1957 and graduated from East High School.
After serving in the Navy, Bob attended Penn State Behrend, earning a B.S. degree in Psychology. In Bob's younger years, he worked for Chesley's Auction Barn in Little hope, helping with livestock.
Bob worked for various construction companies throughout his career building houses, but most notable is his 20 years of dedicated service with Building Systems, Inc. At B.S.I., he was involved in commercial construction, was highly respectedby his fellow coworkers, and was a good friend to many of them.
Bob's passion was hunting and trapping in the woods of northwest Pennsylvania. He was a member of the National and Pennsylvania Trappers Associations, and he also enjoyed teaching kids how to trap. Bob was very proud of the homestead he built with his loving wife of over 20 years, Barbara Ann (Brumagin) Heater.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his little dog, Casey; his stepdaughters, Stephanie and Katie; his in-laws, Lyle and Mimi Brumagin; his brother in law, Don (Gale) Brumagin; his sister in law, Lori (Jed) Johnson; his mother, Mary; his son, Robert; his sisters, Heidi, Mary, Kathy, and Nanci; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He will be sorely missed by many, many friends.
Barbara Ann would like to extend a special thank you to Tim, Micah, Andy, Nick, and Nanci for their tremendous support, and the I.C.U. nurses that cared for Bob at UPMC Hamot, and all of those who kept Bob in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
A Celebration of Bob's life will be held on Sunday, August 6th, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at St. Boniface Picnic Grove, Rt. 8 and Dewey Road, south of Interstate 90.
