Virginia A. (Rhodes) Whitling

Virginia A. (Rhodes) Whitling, age 75, of Erie, formerly of Corry, passed away on February 27, 2019 at St. Mary's Home of Erie.

Born in Corry, PA on January 30, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Walter and June (Mack) Rhodes.

Virginia enjoyed doing crafts, and watching crime shows on TV, her favorites being CSI, NCIS, and Law & Order.  She loved to crochet, and one of her favorite past times was playing computer games.

She is survived by 2 sons, Gerald Edward "Ed" Whitling and his wife, Bethany of Erie, and Walter L.  Whitling of Erie; 1 sister, Rosalind Small and her husband, James of Corry; 2 brothers, Charles Rhodes and his wife, Betty of California, MO, and Harold Rhodes and his companion, Pam of Corry.  Virginia is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Crystal, Patrick, Gerald, Tatiana, Vince, Jr., Cody, and Adrianna; 1 great granddaughter, Carlie; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Clarissa.

There will be no viewing.

Family and friends are invited to the American Legion Post 365, 1460 Sciota Rd., Corry, PA 16407 on Saturday, March 9, 2019, for visitation from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, followed by a time of food and fellowship. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help defray funeral expenses.
