Karen J. McDougall
Karen Jean McDougall, age 67, of Girard, died Monday, December 7, 2020 at UPMC Hamot.
She was born in Erie on November 22, 1953, the daughter of the late Rolland "Mac" and Verna (Brandon) McDougall.
The community lost a beautiful soul. Karen absolutely adored her family, especially her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Karen was known by many as Pittsburgh Steelers' biggest fan. She was always smiling and tried to make everyone laugh. She was very generous, always buying jewelry for the ones she loved to make them feel wonderful. She enjoyed going to Avonia Beach, loved being in the sun, and always worked on a fabulous tan. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends. She worked at Spectrum Control for 30 years before living a grand life as a retiree.
She was a 1971 graduate of Fairview High School.
Survivors include her son, Chad Sterrett and his fiancee Courtney Dore; her daughter, Brandie (Brandon) Ramey; her grandchildren, Taylor Sterrett and Corey Sterrett; two brothers, Charlie (Sienna) McDougall and Russell (Amy) McDougall; three sisters, Kathy (Craig) Latimer, Sandra Ritchie, and Judy (Kirk) Graham, and a large extended family which included many friends she considered her family.
Due to Covid-19, a Memorial Service will be announced next summer.
