Lawrence Alva Burnett
Lawrence Alva Burnett, age 55, of Erie, PA, passed away on February 21, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Erie on March 28, 1962, he was a son of the late Perry and Beulah (Flick) Burnett.
Lawrence loved working on cars and was very talented at making and building things. He enjoyed refinishing wood furniture. Lawrence was a skilled tinkerer and handyman, able to take almost any broken item apart and repair it.
He is survived by his wife, Becky (Askins) Burnett; his children, Chad (Jen Goodard) Askins, Nick Rodgers, and Wendy (Nick Fluegel) Rodgers; 3 brothers, James (Pat) Burnett, Perry (Debbie) Burnett, and Edward Burnett and Sharon; 1 sister, Rebecca (Frank) Grace; 4 grandchildren who he loved dearly, Leah, Taylor, CJ, and Riley Askins; his mother-in-law Donna Askins; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Roberta (Ed) Maske, Ronald (Laurie) Askins, Gregory Askins, Shelly Tadder and Kenny Yeaney, Janis (Jamie) Lockwood, John Askins; a close nephew, John Mysnyk, and close friends, Della Witt, Mark Stockhausen and Lisa Stumpo-Robie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother, Robert Burnett; 2 sisters, Sonya Mysnyk, and Sandra Mysnyk; 2 nieces, Beulah Weglin and Cindy Slupski, and a father-in-law John (Sonny) Askins. .
There will be no viewing or visitation.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Saga Club, 3828 Washington Avenue, Erie, PA.
Askins Cremation Funeral Services, 8354 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, PA 16509 is assisting the family with arrangements.
