Donald “Don, Donnie, Smitty” Leroy Smith
Donald L. Smith, age 61, of Millcreek Township, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
Born April 2, 1961 in Titusville, PA, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Anna Mae (Bell) Smith.
Donnie worked a lot of different jobs, from Erie Cleaning to Lighting Systems. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1981 through 1984 in Germany and working on Pershing missiles. His interests in life were his family, beer, hanging with his friends, Chuck Pardee and Kenny Stossmeister, and Lottery Lottery Lottery! Don was a lifelong Dallas Cowboy fan.
Smitty is survived by his half-sisters, Denise Smith of Centerville, Wuanita Fenstermaker and Delores Fenstermaker, both of Erie; his sister, Brenda Sult (Jeff) of Erie; his brother, Michael Bellas (Amber) of Erie; his nieces and nephews, Pepper Sult (Chris) and Richard Sult, both of Erie, and Joshua Bellas and Michaela Bellas (Victor), both of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by his grand-niece, Breanna Sult of Erie.
The family would like to thank UPMC Cancer Center and VNA of LECOM, Kate, Leslie, and Danielle for their care and compassion.
Interment will be at Erie County Memorial Gardens at the convenience of the family.
