John Earl Paul Russell
On September 4, 2017, our beloved brother, John E. Russell, passed into the Lord's House.
John graduated from Fort LeBoeuf High School in 1972, where he excelled in wrestling and football. He attended Missouri State University where he studied Criminal Law. John also graduated top in his nursing class. He was employed in Erie through Local Union 603. He participated in many boxing matches for the L.E.F. (known as 'Cave Man'), where he lost only one match, knocking out his opponents in the first round.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Claire Russell; a niece, Mrs. Jennifer (Ball) Park; and a young nephew, Brandon Russell.
His memories and life will be remembered by siblings Bill Russell, Ann Marie Waite, Veronica Ferrara, and Claire Russell, all of Erie, and Mrs. Donna Grady (Brian) of California. He had many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
John's life was full of many adventures and he lived life to the fullest. We, his family, loved him dearly and will miss him forever. Drugs took our brother's life, and we pray that no other family will ever have to endure the pain we feel because of drugs.
John's family will hold a small Memorial Service at Presque Isle State Park, Beach 2, on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 12:00 Noon. No refreshments are intended, just a ceremony to celebrate John's life.
