Mary M. Byerly
Mary M. Byerly, 80, of Wattsburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at St. Vincent Hospital, with family by her side.. Mary Survived 2 bouts of Breast Cancer, and she passed away from Esophagus Edema Carcinoma.
She was called Nana by the family or to some “Spicy Jalapeno”. Nana was born in Erie on January 11, 1946. Daughter of the late Victor Herbert Byerly and Dorothy Louise Babcock.
Nana attended Tech Memorial. Nana worked as a Store Clerk for Inland Container Corporation for 32 years and as an L.S.P. at EHCA Family Supported Living.
Nana was a member of the Siebenbuerger Club 0f Erie, and Nana enjoyed mowing the lawn, coffee dates with her family, bird watching, and crafts.
Mom was a matriarch, a rock, and there for anyone who needed her.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Tina Burbules (John) of Wattsburg and Wanda Rhoades (Darrell) of Summit Twp.; her son, L.C.; and 6 Grandchildren: Coureen (Rick) 7 children, 9 grandchildren. TJ (Jenn) , 3 children Katie (Bud), 3 children Angel 3 children Crystal 3 children Johnny (Heidi) 1 child
Preceeded in Death by Frank Babcock her uncle, from Corry PA, Victor Byerly step Brother and Sheila Byerly step sister both from North East PA.
Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Nana was an honest thru and thru person; she told you what she thought no cover ups.
