Gary Richard Stablein
Gary Richard Stablein, age 63, of Erie, passed away at Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie on Sunday, November 6, 2016.
Born in Erie, PA on February 24, 1953, he was a son of the late Otto and Dorothy Pollard Stablein.
Gary was married to the former Susan E. McGraw, who survives.
He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates, and loved hunting, fishing, and NASCAR. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, darts, and pool. Gary competed in several pool tournaments, winning second place locally.
In addition to his wife, Susan, he is survived by 2 sons; Michael McGraw and his wife Kari of Fairview, and Joshua McGraw of Erie and his fiancee Venessa McMillen of Girard; 3 daughters, Rebecca D. Stablein and David Torres of Erie, Shelly Stablein of Millcreek, and Venus Jensen of Erie. In addition, he is survived by 4 brothers, Otto and Claire Stablein of New Port Richey, FL, David Stablein and his wife Valencia of Millcreek, Kenneth Stablein and his wife Kathy of Summit Township, and Harold Palmatier and his wife Mary Fran of Millcreek; 2 sisters, Audrey Varish of Millcreek, and Anna Brown of Erie; 14 grand children and 5 great grand children; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William Stablein, and one sister, Diane Stablein.
In accordance with Gary's wishes, there will be no viewing.
Friends are invited to join the family for visitation and a time to remember Gary on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 1976 Woodlawn Avenue, Erie, PA 16510 from 2PM to 6PM.
