David Lee Richert
David Lee Richert, age 63, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at UPMC Hamot.
Born in Erie, PA on March 26, 1955, he was the son of the late William P. and Mignon V. (Shaw) Richert.
David grew up attending Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church, where he was a member of the choir. He loved jazz music and played guitar. He had a love and appreciation for trains, model trains, old mechanical toys, watches, and coins.
He is survived by 1 sister, Carol J. Hudick of Girard, PA; 3 nephews, Jeffrey Hudick of Jeanette, PA, Daniel Hudick, and James Hudick, both of Erie, and several cousins.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by the love of his life, Laura Hauser, and 1 nephew, Matthew Hudick.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Erie Zoo, 423 West 38th Street, Erie, PA 16508, or the Humane Society of Northwestern Pennsylvania, P.O. Box 3930, Erie, PA 16508.
