Denise Ann Putnam
Denise Ann Putnam, age 58, of Erie, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2024 due to complications from Huntington’s disease.
Born on June 24, 1966 in Erie, PA, she was the daughter of Mary and the late Robert D. Putnam.
Denise graduated from Iroquois High School, Class of 1984. Upon graduation, she began raising a family and went on to attend the Omega Institute where she earned her phlebotomy certification. Denise enjoyed caring for patients at the Hope Cancer Center in Virginia. She was also a medical assistant at Central Virginia Health Services. She was a member of the Wesleyville Baptist Church. Always the cat lover, she found peace in their company. Denise’s greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her mother, Mary E. (Parker) Putnam; her daughters, Heather Shotts and Kacie Shotts; her sister, Jennifer Vrenna (David); her brother, Robert R. Putnam (Joycie); 4 grandchildren, William Shotts, Gabriel Shotts, Kaylee Harper, and Savannah Slaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert D. Putnam.
Family and friends may call at the Wesleyville Baptist Church, 3509 Buffalo Road, Erie, PA 16510 on Saturday, May 3rd from 10:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. A Celebration of Life in Denise’s memory will be held for her family in Virginia at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Orphan Angels Cat Sanctuary.
