Alfred Francis Marinelli II

 Alfred Francis Marinelli II, passed away peacefully on Monday December 11, 2017.

 He was born in Erie, PA on October 23, 1953.

 He will be greatly missed by his daughter Sarah Marinelli of Albuquerque, NM; his sister Marie Lapinski of Fairview, PA; all his nieces and nephews that he considered his close friends as well as his beloved family: Paul, Michael Jude, Eva, Jason, John and Janine; as well as his cousins.

 He is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Dorothy Marinelli; brother Michael Marinelli; and Pam Marinelli.

 Alfred was an employee of the City of Erie Public Works Department, and later in life became a teacher after graduating from Edinboro University with honors. He had a passion for history and politics, and loved to share his knowledge with others. He had many friends over the years that shared his one of a kind sense of humor that came with his big heart. His personality was unforgettable, and the world will not be the same without him. Shine on you crazy diamond..

 His family would like to thank his best friend Herminio Eugenio for his love and supportive friendship to Fred, and for teaching him to play the guitar which gave him so much pride and joy. Thank you also to his friends Aaron Smith and Jim Italiani for their companionship and support of Fred.

 As per Fred's wishes, there will be no services and burial will be private. He asked that people  toast to his life and remember the good times.

Askins Cremation Funeral Services, 8354 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, PA 16509 is assisting the family with arrangements.
